You cannot stop in batch mode...

Like the Partimage man say: * -b, --batch batch mode: the GUI won't wait for an user action * -BX, --fully-batch=X batch mode without GUI, X is a challenge response string The GUI/Program will not wait for a user action like stop, resume etc... So, if you need stop the progran, don't rn in batch mode.
