Yes, the partition is on a separate drive. 'hda1' is the partition I intend to image, and it is not mounted. The storage partition is 'hdb4', and it has a working suse system on it. Is that a problem, other than the risk of overwriting susefiles? I didn't think i could use another ptn on the drive i...

I receive the error "cannot create temp file" becouse it doesn't find enough disk space". You either: 1. have not created: "mkdir" or 2. you have not mounted the file system/path to storage The message you are receiving has nothing to do with enough space.
