Compaq proliant 400 SCSI drive

Post by piyush jani » Wed Mar 17, 2004 3:53 am

Hi
I m new to Linux & too partimage - i want to create an image for my proliant 400 server with NT as OS. Im successfully tested the pratimage & systemrescuecd on IDE harddisk andwas able to restore the image overnetwork.
With this level of confidence i went ahead with image creation of my server - Proliant 400 , but after booting the system with CD it gave me some IO error i think it is due to my scsi HDC. Can any one help me to get this sorted out as i think i need to compile partimage with my scsi driver on to it. I m able to get some driver from compaq site for Redhat Linux 6.2. - but don't know how to go about with it ???

Pl help

Thanks in advance

partimage does NOT need to know about SCSI card.
It is the kernel that needs to know.

You may want to read:
