Make fails (Ubuntu 6.10)

Hi! When i try to install partimage the ./configure --disable-ssl works fine but when I type make I get the following error:

I am having troubles with even where to start hunting for the problem. Thanks P.S this problem happens with the stable release as well.

wow all that nightmare ended up just being a simple answer.

../../depcomp: line 502: exec: g++: not found --> no g++ compiler

Ubuntu by default do not have all the essential build tools. To install them type

apt-get install build-essential

then get all the packages you need and then type

./configure --prefix=/your install location
make
make install

and if all goes well then WOAHLA it will work
