iostream.h missing in fc9

Post by dansawyer » Mon May 19, 2008 2:57 am

All,

Building partimage in fc9 fails on reference to iostream.h.

This was part of the compat devel libs, however there are no longer present. Is there a solution for this?

I am not sure if this will be totally successful, changing:

iostream.h to iostream

builds and opens correctly. Does anyone know what the effect of this will be?

Thanks - Dan

iostream.h has been depreciated.

Changing iostream.h to iostream seems to work. There were no make errors.

I agree, under Suse 11 I had to change
several occurences of
#include<iostream.h>

to

#include <iostream>

I suggest correcting the source files.

My impression from various searches online is that these changes are needed:
#include <iostream.h>

Should change to these two lines:
#include <iostream>
using namespace std;

Example site that describes this:
http://www.ishiboo.com/~nirva/c++/stl-ref/iostrea2.html

These files seem to reference iostream.h, and need to be changed:
src/server/partimaged.cpp
src/server/partimaged-main.cpp
src/shared/net.h

I'm no coder, though, so someone who is should make the right call and fix the source code and come out with a new version perhaps?

Thanks!

In which file do I have to make this change?

I've solved this question.

There are abut four files in which the change has to be made.

../src/server/partimaged-main.cpp
../src/server/partimaged.cpp
../src/shared/net.h
