Hi All:
As topic, it It possible to disable bzip2 when I set configuration. I has no libbz2 library in my platform. so, can I just disable it. likes --disable-bzip2 or without-bzip2..etc. I tried both of two method but it seems didn't work. can anybody answer it? I appreciates it..thinks.

Not without messing with the code

It should be possible, but then you're on your own. The easier way out is to just install the bzip2 libraries. Either download them manually, compile, and install, or find them for your platform. Probably you do have them, but just can't find them.

On Ubuntu, nothing matched the name it complained about needing. But using Synaptic I found the right development packages (the ones ending in "-dev"):
lib32bz2-dev libbz2-dev

BTW. I have compiled a version for 64 bit Ubuntu. It can be found here.
