Hardware Raid

Hi,

I am running raid 5 hardware REDHAT Ent 4. And i wanted to make an image of my partation.


In theroy if i backup my partation table and the raid config and took an image of the partation i should be able to restore everything back.

But i dont know if it's possible did any of you guys try that. am i way off?
and what are my other options

my server is HP pro 350ML

This should be no problem at all I would think, but with my knowledge of raid5 (only what I've read on the net) I would think that you would have to image all of the drives, since #1 they are stripped and #2 the parity is distributed.

Man you can learn a lot in a few years. I'd like to withdraw my previous comments and say "It shouldnt be a problem" :)
