NTFS image created, can be restored but corrupted

Post by Manu_b » Thu Nov 13, 2008 11:28 am

Ok, I know NTFS is not yet supported, however the image creation worked flawlessly and restore as well. The only problem is that the restored partition is unusable (corrupted).

I tried various tool to check /repair the partition, all says partition is corrupted.

I Re-Restored the partition and run a repair (recovery console) from XP install CD and tried various tools (chkdsk / fixboot / fixmbr / bootcfg) and no luck as well.

Machine is :
Dell prcision Workstation T3400
Disks are 2x 72GB SAS on Dell SAS6 raid controller.
Partitions were originally created in NTFS (not FAT32-->NTFS)

Is there any tool that will allow me to read the content of the images files so that i can recover some data ?

Any chance to have it working next time I use it ???

Regards,
Manu
